Special thanks to Sandra Spedden for the donation to purchase the tables and chairs.
The Bible says in Psalm 27 “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies” no doubt our guests are battling enemies on every hand and in every situation of their lives. They are fighting against homelessness; they are fighting against lack of education, and employment. They are fighting against low self-esteem and immorality. They are fighting against addiction and mental health issues. This list can go on forever and it may appear the enemies fail to stop coming but, in spite of the plan of the enemy, God has prepared tables for our guests in the presence of their enemies. In December the Christian Shelter received new tables and chairs for our guests. It was the desire of our Executive Director that the dining area of the Shelter look more of a home setting rather than an institution. So, Mrs. Sandra Spedden contacted the shelter to determine what were our needs for this year. Mrs. Spedden agreed to purchase the 12 new tables and 96 chairs so that our guests could feel like kings and queens. We are also looking forward to getting new ceiling fans, new curtains, and new paint on the walls to give our dining area a totally different look. We are also grateful we were able to donate our old tables to several daycare facilities in the area. Thank you again, Mrs. Sandra Spedden for allowing God to use you to prepare tables for our guests in the presence of their enemies.
